At long last! The Nether Hour boys have released their highly anticipated follow-up album to 2024's SUNSHINE with it's celestial complement, MOONSHINE. The day and night theme for twin albums has been a concept they have been building and brewing for a good while and we are fortunate enough that they both have been released in their respective light.
Under the night sky, the album explores themes of longing, yearning, and gettin' down as we become creatures of lunacy. Beginning with soulful cries and howls of seeking that someone to get through the night to dancing onto funk-driven expressions of turning the heat up that lead to a south-of-the-border exchange of twists and turns and ultimately sizzles in that familiar sensual figure that keeps us on our toes. A common theme of getting wires crossed, not seeing eye-to-eye, and confused signals as the night stirs is sung through impassioned vocals and lyrics but also felt with cathartic screams of the guitar and sudden quickened pace from the bass and drums that make the ground feel unsteady to those not dancing.
The chemistry of Bobby (vocals, guitar), Bishop (vocals, guitar), Bercy (bass, vocals), and Alvin (drums) is undeniable as they navigate through the different sounds and movement their starry night requires to tell it's story in it's most visceral form.
